Events Rules and Policies
We have established the following rules for the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, as well as property owners and other people who use the properties we visit.
The MGMC organizers or the venue of the events are not liable for any injuries or conflicts that may occur during our events.
The dog’s owner hereby voluntarily waives all claims, demands, or actions, including any costs and expenses, related to or arising out of, directly or indirectly, my and their dog’s participation in the Event at any Venue chosen by MGMC and also MGMC Host or Team, now and/or in the future, including specifically, but not limited to, any claims, demands, or actions against MGMC or the venue that the event is hosted; the owner, manager, lesser, operator and/or lessee/tenant (whether primary or sub) of the premises where/within which the event area is located, or their respective members, shareholders, owners, partners, governors, directors, managers, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”), related to any injuries or damages which the owner’s dog or the owner it self may suffer while attending the event organized and hosted by MGMC. Owners hereby voluntarily agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from and against any claims, demands, or actions, including all costs and expenses, related to any injuries or damages that are alleged to have been caused by the owner or the dog(s). Owners certify that none of the released parties has made any representations, warranties, guarantees, implied or expressed promises related to the Event, event area, or the behavior of the owner’s dog, or this informed consent and release. The owner of the dogs certifies that the dog (s) have never bitten a human being and they are not aware of the dog’s propensity to do so. (Please notify the Owner of the venue and MGMC if you are unable to make this representation.) Additionally, the owner represents and warrants that each dog in attendance is up to date on all vaccinations. These vaccinations include rabies and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, and Parainfluenza). If I bring children I agree that I am doing it at my own risk and I compromise to be pending with them and my dog at all times.
By attending a Miami Goldens Meet up Club event, each dog owner agrees that you are doing so at your own discretion, take full responsibility for yourself and your dog, and agree to the rules outlined below.
- No aggressive behavior will be tolerated. If the owner can’t handle their dog and stop the behavior it will be asked to abandon the event.
- No females in heat are allowed in ANY event.
- No unvaccinated dogs are allowed. Dogs must be up to date with vaccines and wear the Rabie tag on their collars. If the owner does not have the tag, will need to show proof of vaccines.
- Owners MUST be pending of their dogs at ALL TIME, especially if the dog is a puppy or if is an off-leash event.
If the event is tagged as on the leash, owners must respect the rule. Unless the event is tagged otherwise, the dog must remain on the leash during the entire time at the venue. Off-leash events will be always tagged as such. - MGMC is a GOLDEN RETRIEVER meet-up, but siblings of the same house can assist, unless the sibling is a small dog. For safety reasons, small dogs are not allowed in the events., especially if those events are off-leash otherwise the venue or place where the meeting is hosted can provide the minimum safety for the small dogs.
- Children are allowed on the events, as long as the parents can be pending on the dog and the children equally. Remember to always ask the dog’s owner if your child can pet, play, or hug their dog. Not all dogs like to be pet the same way. If any case arises that a person or child is being disrespectful with a dog and after being addressed the behaviors continue, this family will be asked to abandon the event. Same case if is noticed that the dog is being mistreated or neglected.
- Never feed a dog that is not yours without the dog’s owner’s permission.
No puppies under 4 months are permitted in the meeting for safety reasons. - The dog owner is responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Please keep an eye on your dog so you know if he or she needs “cleanup duty”. All bags must be placed in appropriate trash barrels or taken home with you
