September is here and we are already enjoying the amount of pet-friendly events around South Florida.

In this post, you can find the upcoming pet-friendly events from September to November, listed with the link to RSVP, social media accounts, and webpages, with enough time for you and your furry best friend to be able to enjoy the holiday season. It will include MGMC events for September and October.

September Events

      1. Rockin’ for Rescue Adoption Event

    Date: Sunday 9/17 Time 12:30 to 3 pm. Place: Rock & Brews • 341 N University Dr, Plantation, FL 33324

    Good Karma Pet Rescue is the organizer of this adoption event.

    What you will enjoy:
    Doggy pools & agility course

    Third Annual Fall Festival

    Running through the entire September until November.

    Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 am- 5:00 pm, Saturday/Sunday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

    4. The Berry Farms

    Harvest Festival

    Date: 9/16 till 11/5 Monday – Sunday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm

    5. Pinto’s Farm

    Pumpkin Patch 2023 Dog Day

    Pinto’s Farm only allows pets on specific days. For the fall festival, the Date are September 23 & 24. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

    October Event

    The Waterparks

    October is the time that waterparks in South Florida open their doors for our best friends.

    Listed below are all the water parks that will be doing dog events in October.

    MGMC will be assisting, for at least, one day of this event in each park. Of course, you can choose what day and time is best for you, but it will be lovely if you can enjoy the waterpark with the club. For better info and understanding, the events will be posted chronologically.

    Please follow the links provided for every park to ensure that you can assist, with every event that you want, without a problem

    Dates:

    OCT/7— Waggin at the water park: This day will be 2 parks opening at the same time

    1. Coconut Cove waterpark

    MGMC will be assisting at this waterpark on 10/7 at the 9 am session

    Located in: Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park

    To assist to the event you MUST provide proof of vaccination and fill out the registration form to access the park with your dog. All dogs must have proof of current rabies, DHLP, and Bordetella vaccinations on-site to enter the waterpark.

    You may submit registration forms and proof of vaccines by email to [email protected] before October 7, 2023, for approval, or show both at the door when you pay for the entrance to the park.     Sessions:

    50-minute sessions by the size of the dog
    Session 1: 10:00-10:50 a.m., dogs 45 lbs. and up
    Session 2: 11:00-11:50 a.m., dogs less than 45 lbs.
    Session 3: 12:00-12:50 p.m., dogs 45 lbs. and up

    Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. and will re-open 30 minutes before each session provided if there is still room in the session. All owners must sign a waiver when registering.

    2. Calypso Bay waterpark

    Located in: Seminole Palms Park

    OCT/7 & 8 BARKTOBER FEST Quiet Water Park time: 9 am to 5 pm

    MGMC will be at OCT/8 9 a.m. session for those of you who would like to join

    Activities include 50-minute splash time sessions, a doggie marketplace, adoptions, rescue, and nonprofit group displays. Water park sessions begin on the hour and all dogs are limited to two sessions per day. You’ll need to accompany your pooch but you won’t be allowed in the water. Dogs must have proof of current rabies vaccination with documentation.

    OCT/14-15 & 21-22. K9 Water festival Castaway Island T.Y. Park time 9 am to 5 pm

    MGMC will be assisting on 10/14 at 10 am

    Halloween Parties

    OCT/14—- Howl-O-ween Pinecrest Gardens 11am

    13th Annual Halloween Festival. Enjoy an exciting Halloween outdoor event with your dog and family while raising funds to support PAWS4you Rescue.

    OCT/21—–Howl-O-ween Trails & Tails Park 5-7pm

    The City of Doral welcomes well-mannered & socialized dogs to participate in their costume contest.

    • Superhero or Villain
    • Coordinated Paw-sse (Group category with multiple pets and/or humans)

    This registration is ONLY for those who would like to participate in the Dog Costume Contest.

    Registration is NOT required to attend the Howl-O-Ween event.

    Each dog may only register for one category. A dog CANNOT participate in multiple categories.

    OCT/22—– Golden Spooky Skele-Bration  

    Join our Club for a fun party.  For our Goldenween Festival of Fear, we will be celebrating on Oasis Wynwood. The event promises to be a scream so don’t miss out on this bewitching celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!

    November Events

    Jupiter Golden Jubilee

    A Golden Community

    November 3-4

    Every November more than 200 goldens from all over the country gather together in support of the Golden Retriever Lifetime study. This study is one of the largest, most comprehensive prospective canine health studies in the United States. The Study’s purpose is to identify the nutritional, environmental, lifestyle, and genetic risk factors for cancer and other diseases in dogs.
